REfuel
Integrated Assessment of Renewable Hydrocarbons
The project REfuel introduces demand and supply of renewable hydrocarbons (RHC) in the global Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) WITCH.
General Objectives
The project “Integrated Assessment of Renewable Hydrocarbons” introduces demand and supply of renewable hydrocarbons (RHC) in the global Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) WITCH. The transportation and power generation modules of the model will be updated to integrate RHC in the energy system of the model.
Expected Results
EIEE will provide capacity building and access to the last version of the model WITCH. Moreover, EIEE will use the enhanced model in order to identify the cost-effective contribution of renewable hydrocarbons under alternative technological, economic and policy assumptions.
