John Gomez-Mahecha
John Gomez-Mahecha is a postdoctoral researcher at EIEE. His main research interest lies in the intersection of environmental, public, and development economics. His current research quantitatively analyzes the economic consequences of environmental and social policy, especially in developing contexts. In particular, he has been interested in the effectiveness of climate policy, its effect on the economy and wealth distribution, and how the effectiveness might differ between developed and developing contexts. He does his research using a diverse set of econometric and computational techniques, including causal inference, machine learning, and CGE modeling.
