Catarina Peralta is a postdoctoral researcher at EIEE, specializing in the twin transition, the economics of digitalization, and economic growth. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Porto, where she focused on automation adoption, demographic changes, and climate change. Her doctoral research involved developing theoretical economic models that integrate automation and climate change into endogenous growth frameworks, as well as incorporating population dynamics with emissions.
