Catarina Midões

Catarina Midões is a PhD student in Economics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and in Environmental Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, under a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. Catarina was an Analyst at the Bruegel think-tank in Brussels, where she co-authored studies for the European Commission and the European Parliament on Cohesion Policy and the Green Transition Fund. Her previous research focused on impact assessment of public policies and on statistical inference for inequality measures. She worked as an Economic Analyst at the consultancy Oxera in England, and at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, where she studied the implementation of Structural Reforms. Catarina holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics from Maastricht University, a Master’s degree in Science and Management of Climate Change from Ca’ Foscari and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nova SBE in Lisbon.
