Amsalu Woldie Yalew is currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, and at EIEE. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Technische Universität Dresden. Previously, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (Germany), and Lecturer in Department of Economics in Debre Berhan University (Ethiopia). He is interested in the interlinkages between the environment, energy, and economy; and the multi-sectoral and -regional impacts of climate change in developing countries. He mainly pursues a computable general and partial equilibrium modeling approaches. He serves as editorial board member, and referee for several peer-reviewed journals. He is also a member of European Association of Environmental and Resources Economists, International Water Resources Association, German Alliance for Global Health Research, Council for Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural Research, and the Ethiopian Economics Association.
