Paola Rocchi
Paola is interested in and strongly committed to work in support of political institutions in the field of environmental protection. The analysis and evaluation of policies have always been her main interest guiding her studies and work choices. She first did a degree in Political Sciences (University of Bologna) to understand the administration of public life and the mechanisms behind policy intervention. Then, she moved towards quantitative studies to acquire more analytical instruments. She did a two-year Master degree in Economics with a theoretical approach (University of Bologna), then a two-year Master in Applied Economics focused on environmental analysis (University Autonomous of Barcelona), and a PhD in Economics (University of Barcelona). Her educational path has therefore been oriented towards research aimed at policy support. From 2017 to 2023 she worked as a contract agent at the Joint Research Centre (Seville). She was in charge of the economic model FIDELIO, a dynamic econometric general equilibrium model that aims at providing quantitative analysis and simulations to assess different policies, in particular related to circular economy trade and innovation.
